Switch from Jobber to TidyWise

How to export Jobber customers, visits and services as CSV and import them into TidyWise. Plans from $49/mo, 30 days of Pro free, no card, no per-user fees.

TidyWise is cleaning business software with plans from $49/mo and no per-user fees. You can try Pro free for 30 days with no card, and use its CSV import wizard to bring over the clients, visits and services you export from Jobber.

This guide covers what to export from Jobber, how the columns map, how to import, and what won't carry over.

Step 1: What to export from Jobber

Jobber emails most exports to the address you sign in with. Only admin users can export the full client list, and Jobber notes client export is available on select plans.

  1. Clients (CSV). Go to Clients, select More Actions in the top right, then Export Clients, and choose CSV. Jobber emails the file. Lists over 1,499 clients arrive as several files.
  2. Visits (CSV). Go to Insights > Reports, then Visits under Work reports. Set the date range (for example All time), then Export to CSV and choose all columns.
  3. Jobs (CSV, optional). From the same Reports page, the One-off jobs and Recurring jobs reports also have Export to CSV. These are useful for reference when you set up recurring plans.
  4. Products & services (CSV). Go to the Gear icon > Settings > Products & Services and use Export to CSV near the bottom of the page.
  5. Invoices and quotes (CSV, for your records). Go to Insights > Reports and open the Invoices or Quotes report, then Export to CSV. TidyWise does not import these (see below), but keep them for your records.

Tip: keep your Jobber account active until you've checked the import, so you can re-export anything you missed.

Step 2: What maps to what

The TidyWise import wizard reads your CSV headers and suggests a match for each column. You can review and change every match before importing. Columns it doesn't recognize can be mapped by hand or left out.

TidyWise can also import staff, recurring plans, and property notes (gate code, alarm code, pets, parking, access instructions) from a CSV. If you keep that information in Jobber custom fields, you can map those columns in the wizard.

Step 3: Import into TidyWise

  1. Start your free 30-day Pro trial. Data import is a Pro feature.
  2. Go to Settings > Import Data and select Open Import Wizard.
  3. Choose Jobber as the source, then pick the type of data: customers, staff, bookings, recurring plans, services, or property notes.
  4. Upload the CSV file.
  5. Review the field mapping and the duplicate count, and adjust any columns.
  6. Run the import. Rows that match an existing customer's email are skipped as duplicates.

Import customers first, then services, then bookings and recurring plans, so bookings can be matched to customers that already exist.

If you only need your client list, you can also go to Customers, open the ⋯ menu, and choose Import.

What doesn't carry over

Some things don't move over, and it's better to know before you switch:
